We will use a variety of methods and tools to practice speaking fluency, pronunciation, listening, reading comprehension, and writing mechanics..

II. Course textbook/resources

There is no textbook for this course. Materials will be posted on the course website and on student blogs. An extensive list of online materials can be found in the ‘Resources’ section of the course website.   Sometimes handouts will be provided.  Other times, students will be expected to print out materials before class.  Students will be required to post assignments in the class Band or on the group website.

III. Instruction Methods:

During ‘Virtual Mode’, we will meet at the designated class time using Zoom Meetings.  Check the Eclass site for Meeting links. In class activities will include a variety of written and spoken activities related to translation and interpretation tasks. We will make use of technology when it aids learning. Google Docs will be used by students to keep group notes and Quizlet will be used to practice new vocabulary. Students will sometimes record themselves for the purpose of analysis and feedback.
